To recognise and thank their efforts over the past years, Berrow inducted their first ‘honorary life presidents’.
Carol Dyer, Brian Hart and John Lock were all awarded these accolades to recognise the hundreds of hours that they have given to the club over the years that have formed the solid foundation and fundamentals that the club now stand on.
Carol Dyer, wife of former club founder Colin, gave up many of her Saturday afternoons to serve in the kiosk during matches as well as ensuring the teams all had clean kit on a Saturday, which at the peak of its powers, was 3 lots! Not to mention the countless meetings she attended and the jobs she undertook without us even knowing!
Brian Hart, former Berrow player and chairman, up until 5 years ago was out in all weathers, supporting the side, maintaining the grounds and preparing the pitch on a Saturday morning. All on his own in most cases.
John Lock, a key member in the birth of Berrow Juniors, the junior section of the club has seen many players transition into senior football over the last 28 years. John is huge supporter of football in the village and undoubtedly laid the ground for the clubs past successes.
A huge thank you to all of you from Berrow FC for everything you have done and continue to do!
